摘  要:中国的应试教育从古时候就存在,并且根深蒂固,改革开放以后,我国提出科教兴国的发展战略,教育制度上也不再偏向"应试",而对学生综合素质的培养,尤其对于大学生这一即将走向社会的群体,综合素质的培养显得迫在眉睫。高校英语的教育不再只重视"读、写、译",更强调"听、说"等与英语应用密切相关能力的培养,英语教材的编撰也应体现全面化、综合性以及应用性。本文针对当前综合素质教育形式下的大学英语教材编撰展开讨论,通过分析,提出相关的意见和改进措施。China's exam - oriented education has been there since ancient times so that it is deep - rooted. After the reform and opening - up policy, China has put forward the development strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education. Therefore, the education, rather than exam - oriented, tends to be aimed at cultivation of College Students' comprehensive quali- ty, especially for the students which will step swiftly into the society. Their comprehensive quality's training is imminent. College English education not only pays attention to reading, writing, and translation, but also to listening and speaking the quality closely related to English application. Thus English textbooks' editing should also reflect the comprehensive, integrated and ap- plied characteristics. This article, in view of university English textbooks' editing based on the current comprehensive quality ed-ucation, puts forward relevant suggestions and measures for improvement.
