Survey and Analysis of English Textbooks for Non-English Major Doctoral Students

摘　　要：本文通过对20种适用于非英语专业博士研究生的英语教材进行调查研究发现,目前博士生的英语教材与硕士生教材区分度不够,对专业英语缺乏重视,同时听说教材数量偏少。为此,笔者建议编写适合于博士生自身学术科研特点与需求,集培养博士生听说读写译能力为一体的专业性英语教材。By analyzing 20 kinds of English textbooks for non-English major doctoral students, this study finds out that the textbooks are not designed exclusively for doctoral students with lack of full attention to ESP materials. The number of listening and speaking textbooks is comparatively small. It is therefore suggested that textbooks should be designed to help develop stu- dents＇ overall listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating skills by catering for the professional needs of the students.
