摘　　要：西部大开发进入新的发展机遇期。无论从国家政策导向还是从区域资源特色而言,结合重点城市形成区域经济增长极,是促进西部区域复兴和实现国家战略目标的关键。分析了西部重点城市兰州发展的历史演变,研究了新的历史时期国家和区域对兰州城市发展的新要求,提出了拓展基地和提升中心的双重战略,并从产业和空间两方面提出了支撑战略实施的基本路径。以期对西部同类城市的发展有所借鉴和启示。Western development has entered a phase of new development opportunities. No matter from national policy guidance or from the regional resource characteristics, depending on important cities to develop the growing pole of regional economy is the key to advance the renaissance of west region and realize national strategic goals. In this paper, first they analyze the historical evolution of Lanzhou＇s development strategy, which is the Western important city. Then they study the new national and regional requirements for Lanzhou＇s development in the new historical period. What＇s more, propose the dual strategy of expanding the base and enhancing the center. Last they propose a basic path to support the strategic choice from both industrial development and spatial expansion.
