丁怀瑾(石僧)早期事迹考

摘　　要：丁怀瑾是最早加入同盟会的云南革命志士之·,被台湾学者黄季陆誉为云南革命"无役不从的重要人物"。在丁家的记述中,他早年有两大革命事迹:一是策动周云祥临安起义,二是在河口起义时策动临安起义失败同志作为起义骨干而策反了河口军警。这两件事都经不起考证。丁怀瑾虽然自称策动了周云祥临安起义,但他对起义的了解没有超出《书周云祥事》一文,该文记述有位"革命党文士"访谈过周云祥,丁怀瑾有据此对号入座的嫌疑。他连周云祥失败被杀都不知道,以致同盟会在河口起义时还有去策动周云祥的动议。关于丁怀瑾成功策动临安起义余部以及河口军警参加河口起义,也是破绽百出,多为想当然的编造。One of the first participants of the United League of China in Yunnan province, Ding Huaijin is hailed by the Taiwan scholar Huang Jilu as ＂an important person who fights every battle＂ in revolutionary activities in Yunnan. According to narrations by the Ding family, in Ding＇ s early revolutionary career, he led the Lin＇ an Uprising with Zhou Yunxiang; he also joined the Hekou Uprising with participants of the Lin＇ an Uprising and provoked rebellion within the local army and police. Nevertheless, such narrations do not hold water. Although Ding claimed to have staged the Lin＇ an Uprising, his knowledge of this uprising may have come from an article introducing the event. In addition, Ding did not even know about the death of Zhou after the failure. Ding＇ s role in the Hekou Uprising is also fabrication.
