摘　　要：车牌字符识别问题是车牌识别系统的核心技术问题,是智能交通系统的关键组成部分,是目前该领域研究的热点问题之一。本文首先介绍了车牌识别系统的组成,分析了车牌识别技术的特点和难点,并重点探讨了基于基于数学形态学的车牌定位系统算法与设计。License Plate Character Recognition is the core of License Plate recognition and acritical technology step in Intelligent Traffic System. And now it is one of the important research topics in this field. In this paper, we first summarize the domestic and foreign development of the current license plate recognition system, and we study some representative license plate recognition technology, and put forward a location algorithm based on mathematical morphology.
