摘　　要：霍尔是英国文化研究的思想集大成者,他为伯明翰学派理论发展做出了卓越的贡献。他被视为伯明翰学派"理论"与"实践"完美结合的典范。"撒切尔主义"是霍尔理论中践行实践批评最为重要的主题。本文以"撒切尔主义"为聚焦点,深入考察它产生的历史语境,着力思考"撒切尔主义"的内核、特征及其彰显的"文化霸权"价值,为深入思考伯明翰学派"文化马克思主义"提供话语空间,并突显出它对文化理论的意义和价值。Stuart Hall,as the thinking epitome of British cultural studies,has made great contributions to theoretical development of Birmingham School.He is regarded as the model of perfectly combining ＂theory＂ with ＂practice＂.Thatcherism is one of the most important themes for Hall to practise his practical criticism.This paper is to deeply probe into the historical context of Thatcherism,mainly examine its connotation and charateristics,and highlight the value of ＂cultural hegemony＂,with a view to providing discourse space by deeply thinking about ＂cultural Marxism＂ of Birmingham School,thus,to penetrate into the signifance and value toward cultural theory.
