The spatial-temporal distribution of tropospheric NO2 over the Bohai Sea during 2005 to 2009 was analysed on basis of Aura Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) data. The obtained results showed that the tropospheric NO2 over the Bohai Sea was obviously in-creased during 5 years and the column density has the marked season variation and spatial distribution. The areas with the highest col-umn density are located in the coastal parts of the Bohai Gulf and Laizhou Bay, the other parts in the Bohai Sea are characterized by the low density, specially in the Liaodong Bay. The seasonal feature of tropospheric NO2 distribution over the Bohai Sea is characterized by the high values in winter and low values in summer. The column density in ( 13. 464 × 10^15 mol/cm^2 ) is 2.7 times in Aug. (4. 959 × 1015 mol/cm^2 ). Through the analysis of the monthly changes of tropospheric NO2over the Bohai Bay and Beijing-Tianjin-Tang area and the ern watershed in the Bohai Sea, it is derived that the column density of tropospheric NO2 over Beijing-Tianjin-Tang area greatly impacts on the Bohai Sea in winter, whereas the density of the ern watershed in the Bohai Sea greatly impacts on the Bohai Sea in sum-mer to.
