摘 要:运用与本系列第一篇文章相同的设备与方法对PKS0349—27、3C98与PKS0634—20于1988年1月23—25日进行了观测。结果发现:PKS0349—27星系外缘突出物全部显现有向顺时针方向倾斜的趋势。3C98的延伸物主要向东北方向延伸。PKS0634—20的延伸物沿南北方向伸出,主要向北。1 and R broadband CCD observations were made for the radio galaxy 3C120 on 23 and 24 January 1988 with the 1 meter RCC reflector of Yunnan Observatory. An RCA53612×0 thinned, buried channel, back illuminated CCD, with pixel size 30 μm corresponding to 0.'469 and a sensitive area of 150'0×240', was used as the detector. ASPIC soft-wares in the Starlink system were used to reduce the data. Dark, flat, bias and skylight were corrected for. The results are shown in Figs. 1-7 (Plates Ⅰ and Ⅱ). They are false color images. Relative brightness is expressed with a color code to the left of each figure. The higher the position of a colour, the darker the brightness. North is at the top and east is to the left. The scale in right ascension is given by a bar which is 20' long. For declination the length of the bar needs to be multiplied by 1.08. The relevant data are shown in Tables 1-5. We would like to summarize this observational investigation as follows. 1. We observed a fast brightness increase of the nucleus region of 3C120 on 23-24 January 1988. The average rate of rise was more than about - 0m.7/ day. 2. In the early stage of this brightening, there were short brilliant rays around the nucleus region. 3. From the I band image of 3C120 on 24 January 1988 we found a new protrusion to the south of the nucleus region may have emerged.
