摘　　要：Till May 29,2012 the Yangzi Petrochemical Company (YPC) has been manufacturing para-diethylbenzene (PDEB) in a 40-day period at its paraxylene(PX) demonstration unit.Currently this unit operates smoothly with the purity of PDEB reaching 99.5% to attain an internationally advanced level.Till May 29, 2012 the Yangzi Petrochemical Company （YPC） has been manufacturing para-diethylbenzene （PDEB） in a 40-day period at its paraxylene （PX） dem- onstration unit. Currently this unit operates smoothly with the purity of PDEB reaching 99.5% to attain an in- ternationally advanced level. YPC now becomes the first domestic enterprise that adopts the adsorptive separation technology to produce PDEB. The design capacity of this unit is 20 kt/a to basically meet the demand of domestic market and fulfill the export needs.
