英汉语中的“花园路径现象”

摘　　要："花园路径现象"是语言处理过程中的一种特殊现象,语言学家和心理学家们将其解释为局部歧义现象。英语和汉语中都存在这种现象,听话者在理解过程中,如同在花园中寻路,经过重新分析不同的歧义结果选择合理的解释。"花园路径现象"是一种复杂的语言现象,可以从句法、语义和语用等方面对其进行理解。＂Garden path phenomenon＂ is a kind of ges, which is interpreted as a phenomenon of partial special phenomenon in the ambiguity by linguists and process ot parsing langua- psychologists. There exist lots of such phenomena in English and Chinese, and the process of interpreting such ambiguous structures resembles searching for paths in gardens in that listeners have to make choices between alternative mean- ings by reanalyzing different ambiguous results. ＂Garden path phenomenon ＂is a complicate linguistic phenomenon ; thus, we can interpret such a phenomenon from syhtactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects.
