摘　　要：编辑是期刊生存的基础与灵魂,是编辑工作的主体与主角。编辑素质是决定期刊质量的关键。称职的期刊编辑应有高度的社会责任感,过硬的语言文字驾驭与应用能力,广博的知识与良好的信息素养,精深的专业知识,强烈的创新意识与创新思维,良好的心理素质与身体素质等。新时代、新竞争、新环境,都对编辑素质提出了新要求。Editors are the basis and soul for the survival of periodicals,and the subject and protagonist in the editoring process.Therefore,the quality of periodical relies much on editors＇personal qualities,which may cover a wide range from strong sense of social responsibility,high proficiency in language use,extensive knowledge and good information literacy,profound specialized knowledge,strong creative consciousness and thinking,to sound psychological and physical qualities.New requirements are raised for the qualities of periodical editors by the new era,new competition and new environment.
