The global planted forests have contributed to the timber production and poverty alleviation, and played very important roles in mitigating and adapting the climate change. Some ecological and environmental issues, such as degradation of forest land, loss of water and soil, occurrence of pests and disease, loss of biodiversity, fragmentation of landscape, have been caused by climate change and unreasonable planted forest management. In this sense, it becomes urgent to explore environment management strategies for planted forest under climate change. In this paper, global planted forest resources were introduced and the effects of planted forests on the biodiversity, water cycle, nutrient cycle, carbon cycle were analyzed. Then, some suggestions on environment management strategies for planted forest were proposed, including policy support strategy on multi-purpose management, sustainable planted forest management via forest certification and carbon sequestration through REDD +, the integrated ecological strategy on biodiversity conservation, reduction of the negative effects of planted forest on water cycle, increasing the nutrient and carbon cycle in the planted forest ecosystem, the regional strategy on the protection of high conservation value areas and stakeholders involvement strategy on planted forest planning and management.
