摘　　要：本文梳理了现代性思想的历史沿革,探讨了现代性思想的历史进步意义及其负面性质,分析了其与人类社会现代化过程的关系,以及这种关系赋予现代化过程的双重性质。文章基于现代性与现代化的关系及其多重性质,阐述了高等教育现代化的内涵与过程,解释了高等教育现代化过程面临的危机及其原因。最后分析了消解高等教育现代化危机的设想:应当吸收哈贝马斯交往理性的思想和观点,重新确认高等教育价值观念,改革高等教育的相关体制,使高等教育现代化实践更为顺利,面向人类奉献更加丰富的价值与意义。This paper conducts a comprehensive review about the history of modernity, discusses the great historical significance of modernity and its negative nature, and analyses its relationships with modernization. This paper reports the connotation and the process of modernization of higher educa- tion, explains its crisis and the causes based on the multiple nature relationships between modernity and modernization. The paper argues that we must use communicative rationality instead of subject rational- ity. Then we can recheck the value and reform the related systems of higher education in order to make sure the practice of modernization of higher education will be more smoothly and the value will be more plentiful.
