摘　　要：In this refreshing study of the ＂search for a homeland＂ by Chinese-Mexicans, Julia Schiavone Camacho sets Chinese diaspora studies on its head by centering her work on ＂a Chinese-Mexican identity rooted in an imagined Mexican homeland,＂ and the history of their exile from Mexico （p.1）.
