摘　　要：《说文解字》是我国现存最早的一部字典,其"革部"字主要来源于先秦时期人们日常生活中所见到的皮革实物,或者与皮革制作相关的活动,共计五十九个字。从中时期可以看出,先秦时期皮革主要应用在车马、兵器、服饰和日常生活的方方面面,皮革是社会生产生活中极为重要的物资,皮革制品的制作工艺已经达到了非常精湛的水平。ShuoWenJieZi is the earliest Chinese characters dictionary in currendy China. A total number of 59 characters related to leahter were included in the dictionary. Study of this category of words reveals that leather was mainly used for making chariots, weapons, clothes and other daily uses. The craftsmanship of leather and leather products reached a high level.
