湖北黄冈两座中型楚墓

摘　　要：黄冈市位于湖北省东北部的江北地区,市区北约5公里是县级重点文物保护单位禹王城遗址。该城遗址属东周时期,现地面残存城垣高3—8米。城东南、城北诸山岗数年来科学发掘或零星发现东周时期百余座楚墓。现择城南曹家岗墓地、城北芦冲墓地发掘的两座中型墓葬报告于下(图一)。These two medium-sized tombs of the Chu state lie respectively 1km south and 6km north of the site of Yu Wang city of the Eastern Zhou period,a city(county)-proteeted ancient monument,which is situated about 5km north of Huanggang city proper.They are the largest among the Chu graves so far excavated outside the city site,and are designated Caojiagang Tomb 5 and Luchong Tomb 1. The former is a wide rectangular pit with a tomb-passage and contains a single chamber and a triple coffin.Its funeral objects are mainly bronzes of the ding tripod,dui round container,pot,box,pan basin,yi ewer,high-handled pot-shaped object,etc.;the rest include lacquered wooden articles and bamboo slips with a list of grave goods. The latter also has a single chamber and a triple coffin,which are a litte larger in size than those in the former.Despite previous robbery ,still it yielded high-grade massive pottery ritual vessels of the large ding,jian basin and fang hu square pot and gold-inlaid bronzes of the vessel cover and belt hook. A comparative study suggests that Caojiagang Tomb 5 can be dated to the earlier late stage of the Warring States period,whereas Luchong Tomb 1 to the later middle stage of this time scope.The tomb-owners must have belong to the Lower Dafu rank.The discovery of the two graves provides valuable material evidence for studying the history and culture of the Chu state.
