FRBR对地图资料元数据规范的启示

摘　　要：DC元数据对地图资料的著录存在无法深度揭示其内容特征等不足。FRBR对地图资料的一般属性和特殊属性作了定义与描述。在FRBR的启示下,将版本、源载体、空间、技术4个扩展元素增加为地图资料的著录款项,能规范地图资料元数据结构,从而提高网络环境中地图资料确认与检索的准确性与全面性。Dublin Core metadata has some shortness such as it couldn＇t reveal the depth content feature of map materials. Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records（FRBR） defines and describes general attributes and special attributes of map materials. Under the enlightenment of FRBR, the edition, sources carriers, the space and the technology could be added as cataloging sums of map materials, which could standardize the metadata structure of map materials and improve the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the recognition and retrieval of map materials in the network environment.
