摘　　要：网络环境下,高校期刊馆员的工作不再只是对期刊文献的内部管理,而是以读者信息需求为导向,开发、利用社会信息资源,为读者提供更全面的服务。针对网络环境给期刊馆员提出了更高要求的现实。Under network environment, work of periodical librari ans in universities is no longer just for internal management of periodical librarians, but provides a more comprehensive service for the reader, develop and utilize community information re sources with the readers＇ information demands as the orientation. For the reality of the higher demands of the periodicals librarians under the network environment, the quality and ability of the pe riodical librarians should have in the network environment are il lustrated.
