摘　　要：改革开放30余年来,学界关于近代中国铁路史研究已有丰硕成果,但是作为近代中国最早拥有铁路的广东地区铁路史的研究却缺乏应有的关注,造成相对滞后的局面。当下存在的问题主要有:一是有价值的史料因种种原因而散佚;二是近代广东铁路沿线的调查资料和年鉴的严重缺乏;三是资料分布散乱,缺乏系统性。因此极需要具备专业知识和有跨学科素养的人才对有关资料进行整理出版,以提供给下一步的研究作基础。Since the reform and opening up more than thirty years ago, the research on the history of railways in modem China is fruitful. Especially in the past decade, the study on it is ongoing basis. However, as one of the first area that owned railways in modem China, the academics didn＇t pay enough attention to Guangdong. This paper reviews and arranges the general history of railways in modem China, important people-related research and reference materials, historic archive and treatise involving modem China＇s.Guangdong Railway history since thirty years ago, to believe that there are some problems such as the loss of some original historic material, rich but unsystematic material. Therefore, high requirement about interdisciplinary knowledge is needed in the study of Guangdong Railway history in modem China, to provide related materials for further study.
