摘 要:对传统的电流变效应抛光装置,提出了一种新的隔离电极电流变效应发生方法,将高压电源的正负极通过绝缘材料与电流变液接触,解决了低介电常数的羰基铁粉、水等组成的电流变液无法形成稳定电流变效应的问题,扩大了电流变液的组分,提高了使用稳定性。利用该方法设计了电流变效应抛光加工实验装置,采用羰基铁粉为分散粒子、金刚石微粉为磨料、水和硅油分别为基液制备了两种电流变液,对玻璃工件进行了定点加工实验。实验结果表明:这两种电流变液在隔离电极电流变效应抛光装置中能形成良好的电流变效应,具有较好的加工效果,相比较而言,硅油基电流变液更适宜用于抛光加工。To solve the problem that the electrorheological (ER) fluid containing carbonyl iron or water with poor insulating property cannot form a stable ER effect, a novel ER finishing method, where the electrodes of high-voltage power supply and the ER fluid are separated by insulating materials, is presented. Two kinds of ER fluids are prepared by employing carbonyl iron powder as dispersion particle, 7 p^m diamond powder as abrasive grits, and using water or oil as base fluid. Then experiments of the ER finishing on the glass workpiece are conducted to study the effectiveness of the improved ER finishing method at a fixed-point machining mode. Experimental results indicate that the two kinds of ER fluids can form stable ER effect in the improved ER finishing device and a good machining effect can be obtained. The oil-based ER fluid is more suitable for the polishing of glass workpiece than the water-based ER fluid.
