摘　　要：歧义是英语中的一种常见现象,容易影响语言交流的准确性,但只要合理巧妙地利用"歧义",也会起到事半功倍的效果。本文对英语歧义中的语音歧义、词汇歧义及句法歧义进行初步的归纳和分析,并在此基础上探讨了歧义在英语语言中产生的修辞效果,展现了英语语言文字丰富的内涵及其强烈的感染力。Ambiguity is very normal in English.It can easily affect our communication with others.But if we can make proper use of ambiguity,twice the result can be achieved.Based on summary and analysis of English ambiguity in pronounciation,vocabulary and sentence structure,rehtorical effects of ambiguity in English are discussed and the rich connotation of English language and its strong power are presented.
