Universal human experience of disease often relates to the process of human civilization, and it also has a profound impact on literary trends. Study the world history of disease and the history of world literature, and we will find that at least twice they tangled. One is the Black Death Disease with the Renaissance in the fourteenth century; the other is the tuberculosis prevalence with the Romantic literature from the late eighteenth century to the mid - nineteenth century. The Black Death contributed to the collapse of the medieval theological system, and caused the waking up of human consciousness. Pursuing human power and praise is also one of the performed themes of the Renaissance. In the eighteenth century, the special symptoms and treatment of tuberculosis led to a wide range of romantic associations, as delicate, sensitive, beautiful, noble symbol of tuberculosis, and tubercu- losis patients had become the classic romantic image of literary works.
