摘　　要：李鸿章、袁世凯等洋务派领袖深知水泥在近代建设方面重要性,派办理洋务的得力助手周学熙、王锡彤、李希明等从外国人手中争回了主权,挽回了利权,群策群力,经过几代人的经营,填补了中国建筑材料的空白,作出了重大贡献,功不可没。Li Hong-zhang and Yuan Shi-kai, as the leaders of the ＂westernization group＂, know very well the importance of cement in modern construction and they sent Zhou Xue-xi, Wang Xi-tong, Li Xi-ming and others, their assistances in handling westernization affairs, to have regained the sovereignty from the foreigners hands and restored the economic rights. Through several generation＇s running and everyone＇s wisdom and efforts, they have filled the gap in China＇s construction materials and made great contribution and their meritorious deeds will never to be obliterated.
