摘　　要：概述了恩施市的自然地理概况,地处鄂、湘、渝、黔四省交界的武陵山区,总的地势西北、东南两翼高,中部低,属中纬度亚热带气候,冬无严寒,夏无酷暑,水资源丰富,土壤肥沃;介绍了恩施地道药材的历史背景,早年恩施药材已经具备了"川药"道地性,现恩施境内植物药已发现的约有2000余种,植被优良,中药材品种多样,质量优良;合理地对中药材开发利用,将给恩施人民乃至全国人民的健康带来福音。Summarized Enshi city＇s natural geographical conditions, Enshi city located in common border of Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou these four provinces, which called Wuling mountainous area, the overatl relief is northwest, southeast high,mid- dle part low, and it belongs to middle latitude subtropical climate, winter is not too cold and summer is not too hot, it has abundant water resource and fertile soil. Then,introduced Enshi authentic medicinal herbs＂ historical background,in the early year, Enshi medi- cine has already possessed Sichuan medicine＇s authenticity, now there are about 2000 kinds of botanical drug have been found in Enshi city, vegetation is good, Chinese herbal medicine breed is varied and the quality is superior. Finally, I＇d like to point out that reasonable development and utilization of traditional chinese medicinal materials can bring lots of good to Enshi civilian and the whole nation.
