摘　　要：刑事判决书是刑事审判诉讼过程中的重要组成部分。文章从功能语言学角度对中美刑事判决书中词语的情态意义进行对比研究,探讨它们的语言实现形式的异同点,研究两种不同法律体系背景对判决书情态特征的影响,为我国裁判文书的改革提供参考。The criminal judgment is an important component in criminal action. In this paper,a comparative study is conducted on modality in Chinese and American criminal judgments from the perspective of functional linguistics.
