摘　　要：随着我国城市化进程的加快,依附于传统熟人社会土壤的人民调解制度正逐渐暴露出其致命缺陷,衍生出一系列体制化弱点。对在"息讼"理念下设立的处理交通事故争议案件的人民调解室我们应全面剖析,准确加以定位,并加强对人民调解制度的规范化建设。With speeding-up of our country＇s urbanization, the traditional people＇s mediation system dependent on the soil of acquaintances is gradually exposing its fatal defects and a series of institutionalized weakness, under the idea of ＂stop litigation＂ the people＇s mediation room,is set up to deal with traffic aeciderlt dispute eases. So we should comprehensively analyse and aceurately locate those disputing traffic accident cases and strengthen the standardized construction of people＇s mediation system.
