摘　　要：目前我国,英语教材仍是学生英语学习的主要工具及语言输入来源。本文通过比较新、老《21世纪大学英语》系列教材的读写教程,指出新教材的优点及不足,提出21世纪大学英语教材的编写在宏观和微观上仍有改进与提高的空间。Nowadays, English textbooks remain the main tool and source of language input in students＇ language learning in our coun- ty. By comparing the new and old editions of intensive reading textbooks of 21st Century College English, this article analyzes the advan- tages and disadvantages of the new edition textbook, considering that there is still space for the improvement of college English text- books compilation both in macroscopic view and microscopic view.
