摘　　要：从超期罚款的合理性与合法性、现行超期处罚方式的弊端、超期罚款制度是否应该取消、中外超期罚款制度的比较、超期限权制度、图书超期的原因分析及预防图书超期的举措六个方面分析了近年来图书超期处理方式的研究情况。并认为目前超期罚款制度很难取消,应从规范逾期收费制度,完善催还制度,建立诚信档案多方面改进图书超期处理方式。This paper summarizes the recent research on the processing mode of the overdue returning books, through the rationality and the legitimacy of the overdue fine, the malpractice of the overdue mode,the canceling and comparison of the overdue fine in different countries, the policy of the restrict rights for overdue and the reason and the preventive measures of the books overdue. The research shows that it is difficult to cancel the policy of the overdue fine, and a processing mode for regulating the overdue fine is needed, so as to improve the system of the books returning reminding and to set up faith record.
