摘　　要：近年来,我国社会发展进入"环境敏感期",环境群体性事件高发引起了国内外诸多媒体的关注报道。针对2012年10月22日爆发的宁波PX事件,本文采用内容分析和文本分析相结合的方法,对人民网和英国BBC中文网两家媒体的相关新闻报道进行比较研究。研究发现,人民网和BBC中文网在宁波PX事件的不同阶段其报道数量、报道议题的设置、消息来源的选择、事件归因的报道等方面存在着诸多差异性。在此研究的基础上,结合中英网络媒体的报道分析,对宁波PX事件的原因进行反思并提出建设性意见。Chinese society has been entering an environmental sensitive period in recent years and many group incidents pertaining to environment have occurred,which grasp the attention of both domestic and international media.This paper conducts a comparative study of online media reports from People's Daily Online and BBC Chinese Online on the Ningbo PX event that broke out on October 22,2012 with the methods of content analysis and text analysis.It is found that lots of differences occur in these two media in such aspects as the coverage of reporting at different stages,agenda setting,source-selection and event attribution.In addition to these,with text analysis the paper reflects the causes of Ningbo PX event and provides two constructive suggestions.
