摘 要:理据性和像似性是目前语言学的一个研究热点。但针对其历史发展,国内对西方传统的论述多语焉不详或有失片面,而对我国本土语言哲学传统中的思想根源则多避之不谈,更无系统论述。文章以几个中西方代表人物的观点为主线,择要回顾并对比认知语言学兴起前此概念在中西传统中的发展,并从我国古代哲学文化传统中追溯其认知思想根源,籍此证明,理据性像似性思想在我国由来已久,是西方理论框架下我国传统思想的再包装,与汉语有更高的适配性。Language-motivation-and-iconicity is an important concept in cognitive linguistics.However,domestic research on its historical development has left much room for further study,which frequently misinterprets the views of Western philosophers and linguists and disregards the Chinese tradition as irrelevant.This paper reviews and compares the origin and development of the language motivation-and-iconicity concept in the Western and Chinese language philosophical traditions.Its cognitive origin in Chinese traditional philosophy and culture is re-examined,as compared with that in the West.It is argued that language motivation-and-iconicity is not a purely imported concept from the West,but is deeply-rooted in Chinese traditional philosophy and culture,later theoretized by Western linguistic theories and has manifested great adaptability with Chinese language.
