摘　　要：20世纪20～30年代,旧金山湾新教教会延续了19世纪中叶以来对华人的社会救助,主要包括建立教会学校和救助华人妇女儿童。基于传教与教育的双重动因,教会人士金马伦、谢普德等人创办了特殊的教会学校:中美学校和明光学校,用以救助旧金山湾地区孤苦的华童,但是由于教会学校严格的管理、教会人士反对种族歧视的不彻底也使得这种救助活动带有历史的局限性。In the 1920s and 1930s, San Francisco Bay Area Protestant Church continued the social assistance to Chinese since the mid-19th century, mainly including establishment of missionary schools and rescue of Chinese women and children. Based on the missionary and education double motivation, Cameron and Shepherd created the special missionary school：Chung Mei and Ming Quong, helping the lonely Chinese children in San Francisco Bay Area. However, the strict management of the school and incomplete racial discrimination opposition of the missionary make this relief activities with historical limitations.
