摘　　要："不愤不启,不悱不发"这八个字高度概括了孔子的启发式教育思想,这一理念对于当前的宣传思想工作仍然有很重要的借鉴价值。本文从理解"启发"的本质含义开始,探析了宣传思想工作与启发艺术的密切联系,以及在应用启发艺术时应该抓住的关键因素,力求为新时期的宣传思想工作打开新的思路。The statement＂I will not enlighten my students until they have really tried hard but failed to understand. I will not instruct them until they have something to say but fail to make themselves understood.＂ is an excellent expression of Confucius＇s idea of education through enlightening, which is of important reference value to nowadays＇ promotion of ideological principles. The paper starts with interpreting the essential meaning of ＂enlightening＂, which is followed by an analysis of the close relationship between ideological principles promotion and the art of enlightening and a discussion of the key factors that should be considered when applying the art of enlightening, in an effort to inject new ideas into the promotion of ideological principles in the new era.
