摘　　要：海外瑶族文献俗字的解读,是海外瑶族古籍文献整理和抢救之初步,也是从民族文献学及民俗语言学领域推进瑶学研究之关键。该文以美国国会图书馆馆藏瑶族写本俗字为例,运用民族文献学及民俗语言学理论,对其中典型字例进行了较为详尽的考辨、解析与历史梳理,通过解读其由来及归纳造字理据,指出这些俗字与其他相关俗字间的联系与区别,从而探究美国瑶族写本俗字与汉字文化之关系。文章还进一步探寻瑶用俗字在不断迁徙的瑶族社会中长期存在与流传的原因,并就"美馆藏写本"俗字来源问题及俗字抢救性研究意义进行了拓展性思考。The interpretation of overseas Yao literatures is not only the preliminary step to preserve ancient Yao literatures,but also the key to promote Yao studies globally in the fields of ethnic philology and folklore linguistics.On the basis of folk character examples from the Yao manuscripts at the U.S.Library of Congress,and by using theories of ethnic philology and folklore linguistics,the paper analyzes and identifies historical connections among those typical characters,interprets and summarizes their origin and structure,compares those Yao folk characters and other relevant folk characters,and discovers the relationships between U.S.Yao characters and Han characters.In addition,it explores the reasons for Yao folk characters' existence and spread during constant social migrations,and discovers the origin of Yao manuscripts at the U.S.Library of Congress and the significance of the research and preservation of the folk characters.
