摘　　要：本文首先概述了克里斯多弗·考德威尔的生平行谊、他对英国马克思主义文论的独到贡献,以及由于时代局限所造成的理论缺陷;其次,援引其最有代表性的两部文学研究著作,展示其分析方法和理论洞见;最后,比较研究他与欧陆西方马克思主义者在理论视角上的共通之处,以说明他的某些理论命题发出了后世西马文论的先声。The present paper begins with a critical account of Christopher Caudwell's intellectual career,his unique contribution to the making of British Marxist literary theory,and his theoretical defects due to the limits of historical circumstances.This is followed by apresentation of examples from his two core literary studies to show his analytical method and theoretical insights.The final part makes a comparative study between Caudwell and some major continental Western Marxist theorists,to reveal that,whereas he is an orthodox Marxist in general,his works anticipate some theoretical propositions formulated by later Western Marxists.
