摘　　要："七姊妹大学"创建于20世纪60年代英国高等教育快速发展之时,经过不长时期的发展,取得了巨大成功。其成功的经验主要表现在:在社会需求中寻找发展机遇,创建充满活力的学术组织机制,致力于教学、科研和社会服务的相互促进,以及谋求国际化办学等。借鉴"七姊妹大学"的经验,我国新建大学应当转变观念,大胆探索,开创高等教育发展后来居上的"中国现象"。Seven Sisters Universities, which have made a great success with a short period of development, were founded in the 1960s when higher education developed rapidly in Britain. Their successful experience is summarized as follows： seeking opportunities in the needs of social development, developing vibrant academic organization mechanism, dedication to promoting the interaction between teaching, research and social services, and pursuing institutional operation of internationalization. The experience of ＂Seven Sisters Universities＂ may provide references for China＇s new universities to transform their ideas, explore boldly, and create a ＂China Phenomenon＂ of higher education advancement.
