摘　　要：整理《植物的欲望》一书有关资料勾勒出美国苹果简史,通过分析其5个发展阶段,从苹果自身特性、文化传统和科学精神3个方面总结了美国苹果成功的因素,受其启发提出保护栽培植物种质资源的新设想,即将栽培植物播种于生态公益林中。After reading ＂The Botany of Desire＂ by Michael Pollan and related material, the author gave a brief account of history of American apple, and summarized its successful factors of apple development from three aspects： apple＇s features, traditional culture and scientific spirits on the basis of analyzing the five development phases of American apple. The idea of conserving germplasm resources of cultivated plants was put forward, trying to use cultivated plants in ecological forest construction..
