摘　　要：近30年来,惠特曼研究和范妮.费恩研究在美国同时复兴,惠特曼的《草叶集》和范妮.费恩的《蕨叶集》成为互文参照。历史文化研究和文本细读揭示惠特曼和范妮.费恩在宣扬男女平等和母亲的力量时既有共识也存异议。两部文集在美国文学史上地位的变化也反映了美国文化的发展与变迁。The past 30 years has witnessed the revival of both Walt Whitman studies and Fanny Fern studies, and Whitman＇ s Leaves of Grass and Fanny Fern＇ s Fern Leaves from Fanny＇ s Portfolio have become cross-references. A close reading of the two collections with reference to historical and cultural documents reveals that Whitman and Fanny Fern hold similar and different views on the issue of equality of men and women and the mother power. The ups and downs of the two collections in American literary history also reflect the development and changes of American culture.
