严复经济自由主义思想及其对开放型经济的启示

摘　　要：作为闽都文化的重要代表人物之一严复,在中国近代化的发展史上具有举足轻重的地位,他在传播西方的进化论、社会学、经济学、政治学等方面都起到了至关重要的作用。严复的经济思想主要体现在他翻译的《原富》一书中,经济自由主义是严复经济思想的重要内容。他的这一主张有着更为深层的思想内涵,就是他所信奉的达尔文的进化论和斯宾塞的社会有机体学说。通过对中西文化在行为、思想、价值观的差异对比,严复认为,个体"活力"的释放与禁抑,是中西方富强与贫弱的根源。而自由是个体"活力"得以无约束发挥的环境与条件,这才是严复自由经济的深刻内核。此外,严复自由贸易的思想,对于当前开放型经济建设富有启发意义。Yan Fu occupies a pivotal position in the history of the Chinese modernization as an important epresentative of Min Capital Culutrue. He plays a key role in spreading the western theory of evolution, society, economy ,politics and so on. Yan Fu＇s translation work Former Rich mainly reflects his thought of economy, and economic liberalism is the important content of it. Through the contrast of Chinese and Western culture, Yah Fu thinks that the release and depression of individual vitality is the root of prosperity and weakness between China and the west. While freedom is the environment and condition for relaesing the individual vitality thoroughly. This is just the deep core of Yan Fu＇s liberal economy. Moreover,Yan Fu＇s thought of free trade is rich of enlightenment for the development of modern open economy.
