摘　　要：Happy New Year! It is of great pleasure for me tomake some remarks on behalf of the China Institute of Communications （CIC）. Please allow me, at the outset, to extend my sincere gratitude and warmest wishes to you on the threshold of 2013. From the day China Communica- tions was launched by CIC in 2004, to the year of 2007 when it was included in Sci-ence Citation Index Expanded （SCIE）, and till now that it is cosponsored by the CIC and the IEEE Communications So- ciety （ComSoc）, every milestone that China Communica- tions has reached during the past few years would not have been possible without your ongoing interest and long-term support. Hereby, I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my highest appreciation and respect for all of you.
