摘　　要：创建于1978年的中国农业科学院作物品种资源研究所,在上级领导的支持下,始终把完成国家作物种质资源保存与研究这一基础性研究放在首位,不断地按照国家目标调整研究结构,先后组建十余支考察队,赴西藏、新疆、海南、神农架等地进行种质资源调查和收集。进入90年代又组建一些进行前瞻性研究、跟踪世界前沿的课题组,以提高创新能力。瞄准国际前沿,培养和吸引顶尖人才,加强课题组建设,营造良好的科研氛围,建成了一支包括院士、部级专家、博士导师在内的60名高级人员组成的精干科研队伍,目前主持国家级各类专题24个。历经20年,已使我国作物种质资源由16万份上升到38万份,其总量仅次于美国,其中长期保存的种质资源达31.8万份,居世界第一位,并且在部分研究领域达到国内领先和世界水平,其中在小麦与东方旱麦草、新麦草、冰草属间杂交方面居国际领先地位。建所以来,共获得成果奖励71项,其中国家奖12项,基本形成了一个国家作物种质资源保存与研究中心。Under the leadership of the senior governments, the Institute of Crop Germplasm Resources of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences which was established in 1978 has placed basic research. In the past two decades more than ten missions were set up to explore and collect germplasm resources in Tibet, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Hainan and Shen-longjia and so forth. Since the beginning of the 1990s,some research groups taking aim at the top level in the workd have been formed to enhance the creative ability. Excellent human resources have been trained and abstracted in a fine atmosphere of scientific research, accompanying with the perfection of research groups led by some leaders of scientific community. Up to now about 60 senior scientists are working in the institute. Some 24 large research projects at the national level are being conducted by these scientists. Through the effort in the past 20 years, the total number of accessions has increased from 160,000 to 380,000, among which 318,000 accessions are preserved in the National Genebank, the number of long-term storage being the first place in the world. Since the establishment of the institute, totally 71 awards have been obtained, in which 12 are national awards.The institute has basically become a national center for conservation of and research on crop germplasm resources.
