摘　　要：采用随机前沿分析技术(SFA)研究了西部11个省会城市、直辖市经济增长的技术效率及影响因素。发现西部城市经济增长呈现规模报酬递增的特点;西部大开发战略实施后经济增长效率的提升速度明显加快,城市效率差距呈现为先扩大后缩小的态势;就业结构、职工收入、人力资源数量和失业率均影响着效率的改善。This research discusses the relationship between technical efficiency and economic growth of 11 western provincial capitals according to the panel data from 1990 to 2008 based on stochastic frontier approach. It finds that the technical efficiency presents promoting tendency continually since 1990, however promoting speed accelerated apparently after western development strategy carried out in 2000, the gap among provincial capital widen continually until 2008.
