摘　　要：美国乡镇自治独树一帜,具有组织民主、决策透明、监督有力、财务公开等特点。它不仅是美国民主的源头、公民行使民主权利的主要平台、乡镇和谐的重要保障,而且还是公民权利意识、参与能力,以及爱国思想培养的学校。美国乡镇自治的经验将为我们如何推进乡镇民主政治建设、构建和谐乡镇提供有益的借鉴和启示。American autonomy of township whose characteristics contain democratic organizations, transparent decisions, effective supervisions and open finances, is unique in the world. American autonomy of township is not only the origin of American democracy, the main platform for citizens using democratic rights, the important assurance of harmonious township, but also is the training school of civil right awareness, participated ability and patriotism. The experiences of American township autonomy will give us some useful references and enlightenments in building democratic politics of township and constructing harmonious township.
