当代修辞学研究的拓展与固守

摘　　要：西方修辞学研究经历了语词修饰观、合理选择观、情境题旨适应观、交际适应观等不同发展阶段。中国修辞学也因研究对象与方法的不同形成了语词调整观、美辞得体观、语言加工观及多元修辞观。当代不同修辞理论的交锋与冲突,呈现出从静态描写到动态解释、从修辞主体单项研究到修辞接受双向探究的发展趋势。修辞学要进一步深化,需要修辞学者在开放心态中保持理性思考,在多元吸收中合理选择,在观念更新中寻找恰当方法,在异彩纷呈的探究中,形成趋同的学科观念。修辞研究既需要系统观念,又需要层次观念;既需要内部研究,也需要外部研究;既需要描写性研究,也需要解释性分析;既需要求异研究,也需要趋同意识。Western rhetoric has gone through different stages of development, such as the view of lexical modi- fication, of proper choice, of appropriateness of situational subject, of adaptability of communication, etc. Similar- ly, Chinese rhetoric had developed different views for different objects and methods of study, including lexical ad- justment, appropriateness of praising diction, language processing, and heterogeneous rhetoric. Nowadays a bidi- rectional-exploration tendency of development has taken shape in disputes and arguments between different rhetori- cal theories, which shifts emphasis from static description to dynamic explanation and from individual item study of the rhetorical subject to rhetorical receipt. To deepen the present rhetoric study, rhetoricians have to converge their disciplinary conception by seeking proper means through rational consideration and reasonable choice. A mature and complete theoretical system calls for both systematic and hierarehal conceptions, both internal and external explorations, both descriptive and explanatory researches, both divergent and convergent senses.
