摘　　要：文章基于宁波城市规划设计英汉翻译现状,从城市规划设计英汉翻译中口译使用者对口译活动的影响机制入手,分析口译者与口译使用者的关系,并探讨口译使用者的外语水平、专业水平、交际目的等是如何对口译活动产生影响的,据此提出城市规划设计中英汉翻译策略。Combined with an analysis of the translation problems in Ningbo city planning design,this paper mainly analyzed the interpreter＇s activities in the process of translation from Chinese to English. It is the characteristics of translation that have determined the basic qualities a translator shall possess. These essential qualities not only include a solid foundation of professional knowledge,well-knit basic skills,but also have much to do with the occupational accomplishment of translators themselves,such as a good psychological quality,strong senses of responsibility and confidentiality,etc. It is hoped the present study will provide an insight into translation of Chinese city planning design into English.
