摘　　要：胡秋原《历史哲学概论》中欧美史学部分,是在世界史视野中写成的。其中对唯物史观的批评,固然有政治立场的原因,但有的观点还是具有纯学理意义。他的写作,主要借鉴巴恩斯、肖特韦尔的相关著作,且是粗略的,然较之前人确有通史之意,就中国学者西洋史学写作框架而言,其水平达到了新高。The parts on the western historiography in The Outline of Historical Philosophy by Hu Qiuyuan are written in the view of world history. His criticism on historical materialism, certainly against the belief of the Communist Party, however, has its academic significance. Hu Qiuyuan＇s work, although mainly learned from Barnes and Shotwell＇ s works and is rough in content, it can be categorized as a general history study and reached a high peak when compared with the works of Chinese scholars before.
