摘　　要：美国作家格兰顿.斯沃斯奥特的《祝福动物与孩子》表现了影响青少年成长的三个主要因素:家庭关系、同伴关系和社会文化。这三个因素分别对青少年的性格形成、心智发展以及道德行为和价值取向产生了深刻的影响。小说中的青少年团队深夜解救野牛的冒险之旅正是孩子们在独立人格和精神上的成长之旅。小说唤起了人们对弱势青少年和处于生存困境的野牛的重视,实现了文学作品对社会的推进作用。American writer Glendon Swarthout＇s Bless the Beasts ＆ Children demonstrates three major factors that influence the growth of adolescents： family, clique, and social culture. These three factors exert powerful influence on the personality, mentality, morality and value orientation of adolescents. The juvenile group＇s adventure of liberating the buffalo at midnight is exactly their growing-up journey in their independent character and spirit. The novel arouses people＇s attention to the weak adolescents and the buffalo in plight, realizing the constructive function of literary works to society.
