摘 要:Id1属于4种Id蛋白质(Id1~4)的家族,是螺旋-环-螺旋(HLH)家族转录因子的成员。Id蛋白被称为"DNA结合抑制剂"。目前,T2DM胰岛β细胞功能障碍的有关分子机制仍未明确,但在糖尿病小鼠的胰岛中,以及胰岛β细胞功能障碍的体外模型中已经发现HLH蛋白Id1的表达有所增加。为了解Id1对胰岛素分泌和葡萄糖稳态的作用,Mia C.kerfeldt和D.Ross Laybutt进行了相关研究,结果发现,Id1缺失小鼠高脂饲料喂养后未发生糖尿病,且体内外胰岛β细胞功能增强。现将相关研究和评论的精华部分编译如下,与广大读者共享。Id proteins are named "inhibitor of DNA binding". The molecular mechanisms responsible for pancreatic β-cell dysfunction in T2DM remain unresolved. Increased expression of the helixloop-helix (HLH) protein Idl has been found in islets of diabetic mice and in vitro models of β-cell dysfunction. Mia C. Akerfeldt and D. Ross Laybutt investigated the role of Idl in insulin secretion and glucose homeostasis, and found that Idl-deficient mice were protected against diabetes following high-fat feeding, and that β-cell function in vivo and in vitro was enhanced in these mice devoid of Idl.
