摘　　要：理查德.赖特在《杀影子的人》里描写黑人男性遭受种族压迫和社会阉割后对白人世界所产生的迷惘和恐惧。黑人把整个白人世界视为一个可怖的鬼蜮世界,把白人也视为一个个随时都可能吞噬黑人"实我"的魔"影"。种族隔阂导致黑人沟通焦虑的产生,进一步恶化黑人与白人的人际关系。凯伦.霍妮的新弗洛伊德主义基本理论有助于从影子与影子世界、沟通焦虑和异性恐惧三个方面解读心灵恐惧与种族关系的内在关联。In The Man Who Killed a Shadow Richard Wright reveals that black people who suffer from racial oppression and social castration entertain total puzzlement at and fear of the white world. The whole white world is considered a grisly ghost world and white people ghostly shadows ready to get rid of black people＇ s self at any moment. The racial segregation results in black people＇ s anxiety in social communieation and might worsen the interpersonal relationships between blacks and whites. The basic theories of Karen Homey facilitate the exploration of the internal correlation between psychic fear and racial relations from the perspeetives of shadow and shadow world, communication anxiety, and fear of females.
