摘　　要：CPPCC Vice-Chairman and MOST Minister Wan Gang met ISO Secretary-General Rob Steele on February 21, 2013. Wan Gang briefly introdt,ccd the science and technology development in China, pointing out that scientific and technological innovation has been showing a trend of globalization, while technical standards, as a carrier of the scientific and technological innovations, objectively appeal for internationalization and essentially bear safety, reliability and universality in mind. He stated that China attaches great importance to cooperation with ISO, supports Chinese enterprises, scientific research institutions and experts to actively participate in international standardization activities and make contributions to international standardization. Wan Gang expressed thanks to Secretary-General Rob Steele and ISO for their long-tenn support on China＇s participation in international standardization activities, hoping that Mr. Rob Steele and ISO will continue caring and supporting the standardization work in China.
