Overdosing of paliperidone extended-release tablets: one case report

摘　　要：1例女性精神分裂症患者顿服过量帕利哌酮缓释片126 mg后出现4 h嗜睡,此后未再出现任何程度的意识障碍及震颤、肌强直、静坐不能等锥体外系反应和其他不良反应。其机制可能与该药独特的口服渗透泵(OROS)技术使得血药浓度相对较低有关。本文结果提示,帕利哌酮缓释片对中枢及外周组织的毒性小,具有较高的安全性。One female patient with schizophrenia appeared 4 h sleepiness after took an overdose of paliperidone extended-release tablets （126 mg）. Then, no disturbance of consciousness and extrapyramidal reactions occurred, such as tremor, rigidity, akathisia, or other adverse reactions. Her mild reactions may be related to the unique OROS technology, which produces relatively lower blood concentrations of the drug. This case suggests the high safety of paliperidone extended-release tablets in central and peripheral tissues.
